Our client is an international City law firm, with an extensive range of blue-chip corporate clients, top tier financial institutions and governments. It offers innovative and commercially pragmatic legal solutions to complex business issues and prides itself on building strong relationships with its clients. They are now looking for a Corporate Tax lawyer to join their team.
Role
You will provide corporate and commercial tax advice across a range of practice areas, including real estate, corporate, funds and oil & gas. You will advise developers, financiers, investors, sponsors and management teams across all asset classes, listed companies and private equity businesses. Although your work will support other practice areas in the firm, increasingly, there is also standalone advisory work, including contentious and tax litigation matters.
Required knowledge & skills
The successful candidate will be a 4-6 PQE corporate tax lawyer who has gained experience, in an international law firm, of advising corporate and commercial clients on all types of domestic and international corporate tax matters, particularly in relation to M&A transactions and its associated legal documentation. Superlative technical and analytical skills relating to drafting, due diligence and providing clients with strategic advice are essential, as is being able to confidently manage transactions.
