Our client is an international law firm, based in the City of London, and recognised globally for its market-leading energy work. It is known to provide stellar, commercially practical legal advice and has an extensive client base which includes international companies, banks and industry stakeholders. They are now seeking a Corporate (Oil & Gas) Associate or Senior Associate to join their team.
Role
You will work on high-profile, market-leading transactions and projects, focused primarily on private M&A and cross-border project development within the energy sector (specifically, oil & gas). The role will also include energy transition transactions in hydrogen, sustainable fuels and CCUS.
Required knowledge & skills
The successful candidate will be an experienced lawyer with an excellent academic track record and 4-6 years’ post qualification experience (or equivalent) in a wide range of corporate transactions - principally private M&A transactions and project development in the oil & gas/energy sector. They will be able to confidently draft, review and negotiate a variety of M&A transactional documents, lead transactions and manage due diligence/disclosure exercises. They will provide strategic commercial advice to clients.
