Our client is a well-established London law firm which delivers a range of services to local and national clients. It prides itself on providing a high level of client care and is considered a leader in its field. It is now looking for a paralegal to join its injury and medical claims team.
Role:
This role relates to the management of catastrophic and permanently life-changing injury cases. This is an interesting and fast-moving role where you will assist in progressing a variety of these cases, from beginning to end. Typically, you will support clients sensitively through the litigation process, signpost to them appropriate advice on benefits and rehabilitation services and make arrangements for their medical assessments. You will liaise regularly with clients, case managers and legal Counsel and instruct medical and non-medical experts. You will also draft witness statements and review and methodically organise medical records and disclosure documentation for use during the Court case, which you will attend. You will be required to set up personal injury trusts.
Required knowledge & skills:
The successful candidate must demonstrate an interest in pursuing claimant personal injury work and already have had personal injury experience. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, a mature and empathetic approach to seriously injured people and be able to communicate clearly and appropriately. The ideal candidate will be a reliable team player who has a positive, proactive, commercially aware attitude. They will be organised, able to work independently and can meet deadlines.
