Client
Our client, a highly respected UK private client firm, is seeking a probate paralegal to join their Private Client team.
Role
This role is a 6-month fixed term contract but may be extended.
You will work on a wide variety of probate matters (including international and domestic estate administration, and inheritance disputes). Typically, you will be required to carry out research and document review, write letters, draft legal documents and tax returns, and assist with the preparation of bills. From time to time, you will assist with estate planning and writing Wills. There will also be some administrative tasks. You will liaise extensively with clients and international lawyers.
Required knowledge & skills
The successful candidate will have a 2.1 at degree level (or equivalent CILEX qualification) and a genuine interest in succession law. You will have had experience of working in a law firm as a probate or trust administrator or as a paralegal within a Private Client department. You will have excellent communication skills, strong technical skills and an excellent attention to detail. You will be proactive, very organised, able to work well in a pressurised environment and can manage your work in a time-appropriate manner. The successful candidate will be flexible, positive and a team player who has experience of using Excel.
