Our client, a highly respected UK private client firm with recognised expertise in the technology and media industries, is seeking a junior Chartered Trade Mark Attorney (NQ - 1 year PQE) (or equivalent experience) to join their busy and growing IP team.
Role
The IP team advises clients on an enormous variety of IP issues including trade mark clearance, prosecution and management of registered trade mark and design rights, international portfolios and disputes. You will work closely with the Head of Trade Marks, Chartered Trade Mark Attorneys, the IP team and colleagues throughout the firm. Typical work will include (but is not limited to) drafting trade mark specifications, advising on registration/filing, carrying out trade mark searches, considering watch notices and dealing with objections.
Required knowledge & skills
You will be newly qualified to 1PQE (or equivalent experience) and able to demonstrate a committed, systematic and well-organised approach to your work, with good client care skills, excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy. You will be enthusiastic about trade mark law and able to adapt to the different styles and exigencies of a varied client base. This is a hands-on role which will require independent and creative thinking, taking the initiative and being responsive. Experience of the WebTMS database is helpful.
